The Hebbal lake is situated in the north of Bangalore, present in survey nos.37 and 38 of Hebbal and Kodegehalli with an area of 192 Acres and 29 Guntas of which 21 Acres has been allotted to the University of Agricultural Science, Bengaluru (Fishery Department), 2 Acres and 8 Guntas has been allotted to the BDA Ring road and 8 Acres and 20 Guntas has been allotted to the Forest Department nursery.
The lake is in the custody of KLCDA. The lake is leased to M/s. EIH Limited, Bengaluru for 15 years (from 2006 to 2021).
Details of development activities taken up–
- Construction of a silt trap to the inlet channel to Hebbal lake, Kasaba Hobli, Bengaluru North Taluk.
- The Project will cost Rs.70.00 Lakhs.
- The tenders for civil works for an amount of Rs.68.50 Lakhs has been invited as per the Transparency Act & civil works.
Progress of Developmental Activities –
- Construction of silt trap to inlet channel to Hebbal lake work is in progress,
