Hebbal lake is situated in North Taluk Bangalore in survey nos.37 and 38 of Hebbal and Kodegehalli with an extent of 192 Acres – 29 Guntas of which 21 Acres is allotted to University of Agricultural Science, Bengaluru (Fishery Department), 2 Acres – 08 Guntas BDA Ring road and 8 Acres – 20 Guntas for Forest Department nursery and existing balance extent is 163 Acres – 11 Guntas.
The lake is the custody of KLCDA. The lake is leased to M/s. EIH Limited, Bengaluru for 15 years (from 2006 to 2021).
Details of development activities taken up–
- Construction of silt trap to inlet channel to Hebbal lake, Kasaba Hobli, Bengaluru North Taluk.
- Project cost of Rs.70.00 Lakhs – KLCDA funds.
- Tenders for civil works for an amount of Rs.68.50 Lakhs is invited as per the Transparency Act & civil works are in progress.
